In a world where random violence, date rape, road rage, and stalking
are more common place than buzz words in the area in which you reside
in. Awareness classes, and self-defense, defensive tactics programs
do a lot more than just educate the individuals who take proactive
measures rather than those who's common theme is "It can't happen to
me" attitude. As citizens, we all have the right to protect ourselves
and or a third person from harm, but it is not without it's own
responsibilities. To use self-defense for self- protection or protection
for a third party the Police or Security professional will undertake
training modules or skill sets to ensure that the reasonable amount of
force is used in accordance to the threat. The techniques provided and
practiced will entail all levels of force from minimal to maximum force
encounters. The training will be ongoing and designed to expand the
knowledge and ability of each person to counter swiftly and with
confidence any threat encountered by male or female participants. The
training is conducted in such a way as to develop speed, coordination
and sufficient control to deal with various threats. Each block of
instruction will teach the trainees different motor skills and
self-defense applications and how it will be blended with other
movements within the system. This in turn will give the members a large
range of tactics to draw from and a set of principals that cover the
entire range of possibilities that cover the use of force applications.
The changes will then be up to each individual to use an applicable
technique based on the situation concerning an element of force.
Although flexibility is the key in relation to techniques, consistent
participation is paramount in the success of the program. The goal
therefore is to have the ability to control the environment and
situations outside of the training atmosphere.

Classes will cover a number of issues with a basis revolving around
the legal and use of force issues, and how actions of the trainees
directly relate to the actions of a subject deemed threatening in
nature.

and making determination of measures to be
taken if any, avoid confrontations
1.2 Intervention - If a third party is involved in a confrontation

1.3 Response - If you are involved in a conflict will you respond
in a manner that removes you from harm and the
threat
1.4 Defuse - Is your training, demeanor, and personal
characteristics enough to diffuse the situation
1.5 Evacuate / or escape - The secret of Self- Defense is constant movement.
